Thank you to Si Jak for helping those National Taekwon-Do Students who wanted to participate in the tournament by paying their registration fees.  It is through events like this that we all grow.  Congratulations to those who took advantage of the opportunity.  It was our first time to participate in the Sunflower State Games and a fun time for everyone.

Joshua Yeoh from our Wichita chapter earned three silver medals traditional patterns, free style patterns, and team patterns and a bronze medal in sparring.  Jakup Polzer of Shawnee earned gold medals in both free style patterns and team patterns, and silver medals in tradional patterns and sparring.  Emily Taylor of Shawnee earned gold medals in traditional patterns, team patterns, and sparring and got a bronze in free style patterns.  Anna Taylor earned 4 gold medals in traditional patterns, free style patterns, team patterns, and sparring.  Mr. Kok Chuan Tiew instructor in Witchita earned a gold in sparring and free style patterns, silver in team patterns, and bronze in traditional patterns.  Ms. Lina Tay from Witchita is just getting back into training and did not compete but was a great support.  Ethan Zhang from Overland Park earned gold medals in free style patterns, team patterns, and sparring and a bronze in traditional patterns.  Gabriel Sinclair from Shawnee, earned a gold medal in team patterns, silver medals in sparring and freestyle patterns, and a bronze in traditional patterns.  Dylan Handley of Shawnee earned Gold medals in traditional patterns, free style patterns, and team patterns and a bronze in sparring. Mrs. Marjorie Taylor of Shawnee, earned gold medals in free style patterns, team patterns, and sparring and a bronze in traditional patterns.  Mr. Jason Yeoh of Wichita earned silver medals in traditional patterns, team patterns, and free style patterns and a bronze in sparring.  Aidan Hamer of Shawnee earned a gold medal in team patterns, a silver medal in sparring, and a bronze medal in traditional patterns.  Mrs. Tina Polzer from Shawnee received a gold in team patterns and a bronze in free style patterns.
